Normal Pet Exportation Procedure:
1. I.S.O. microchip (Before the Rabies shot)
The microchip is a must for the pet exportation from China. It must be an international I.S.O. microchip. Normally if your dog is registered every year, he will have a valid microchip.
2. Rabies Shot
Your pets must be given the Rabies shot at the government clinic at least 30 days before the departure.
But if the dog get the updated dog license and have the vaccination record from the official vet, he needn't to be given the shot again.
3. Health Certificate
Within 7 days but no less than 4 days before the departure, you need to take your pet to the government clinic again for the final health check and apply the health certificate (Export Permit) at the government clinic. You must have all the application documents ready. Normally the health certificate won't be ready until 2 days before your departure.
4. Other Certificates
Please have a check of the destination country to see if there are any other certificates besides Rabies Shot Record and Health Certificate are required.
If you need to go back to Europe, please make sure that your pet have had a blood test report. If not, please do the blood test 30 days after the Rabies shot but 3 months before you leaving China.
5. Flight Booking
Don't forget to book the flight for your pet. Normally you can do that after you book your own ticket. And an airline approved cage is also very importation for the trip. Normally you need to arrive at the airport 2 hours before your flight.
6. Other notes:
We will suggest you to ask your vet or pet moving consultant to have a final check to make sure you have all the documents ready for the trip. And you can also ask them if your pet need some special medicine during the trip.
